Goal Savings Planner
Turn any big goal into a monthly number. See what to save, whether your pace gets there, and how inflation moves the target.
Your numbers
example values — edit to yoursAt AED 2,500 a month you'll have AED 110,000 by your deadline — short of the AED 161,534 goal by AED 51,534. To actually make it you need to save AED 3,931/month — that's AED 1,431 more than now. The honest options: save more, give it more time, or aim for a smaller goal. Wishing won't close the gap.
Because this is something you'll buy later, its price won't sit still. At ~2.5% inflation, your AED 150,000 goal is really AED 161,534 by the time you get there — inflation alone adds AED 11,534 to the target. Saving in cash earning nothing means running up a down escalator.
Basis: Projections compound your current savings plus monthly contributions at the return you set (use 0% for money sitting in a current account). Future-purchase targets are grown at a 2.5% long-run inflation assumption — adjust to your own view. This is education, not investment advice; how to invest toward a goal is a Phase 3 topic.
Common questions
How much should I save each month to reach a goal?
Divide the target by the months you have — then add a margin for inflation, which quietly moves the target on you. The calculator does both and shows whether your current pace actually arrives on time.
Should I invest my goal savings?
For goals under ~3 years, most people keep savings in cash or low-risk instruments — a market dip at the wrong moment can push the goal away. Longer horizons give more room. That's a general principle, not advice for your case.
