Privacy Policy

Mizanek ("we") is an educational personal-finance app for UAE residents. We are an independent tool — not a bank, broker, or licensed financial advisor. We have no bank partnerships and we do not sell financial products.

• Account — your email and (for Google sign-in) basic profile, via our auth provider.
• Financial inputs you enter — income, expenses, debts, savings, investments, goals, your Reality Check answers, and any transactions or statement you choose to import into the Money Tracker.
• Usage — basic, privacy-preserving information needed to run the service (e.g. AI message counts for your daily allowance).

You can use most calculators without an account; they run in your browser. An account is only needed to save data, sync across devices, and use AI features.

• To compute your figures — Reality Score, money map, calculators — which are deterministic and run on your own numbers.
• To generate AI explanations and plans you request.
• To keep your data available across your devices when signed in.

We do not sell your data, show third-party ads, or share your personal financial data with marketers.

When you ask for an AI explanation, plan, or upload a statement for reading, the relevant text (your numbers, a question, or the statement's contents) is sent to our AI providers (Anthropic and, for search, OpenAI) to generate the response. Under their API terms, this data is processed to serve your request and is not used to train their models. AI output is educational and may be imperfect — always verify with your bank or a licensed advisor.

Your data is stored in a managed, encrypted database (Supabase) with row-level security, so each account can only ever read or write its own rows. Connections use HTTPS/TLS. Secrets and service keys live only on our servers, never in your browser. Any data shared for anonymous research carries no identifying information and is only collected with your explicit consent.

You can view, export, and delete your data at any time — the Reality Check and Money Tracker include export and delete controls, and you can delete your account. On request we will remove your personal data. These rights align with the UAE's Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete data or your account, it is removed from our database; backups age out on a rolling basis.

If you subscribe, payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — Stripe processes them directly.

Mizanek is education and planning support, not licensed financial, investment, legal, or Shari'ah advice, and not a credit score. Always confirm with your bank and a qualified, licensed professional before acting.
